Phrynobatrachus acridoides is a species of frog belonging to the Petropeditidae family. It is located in Kenya, Malawi, Somalia, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and possibly Swaziland, Uganda, and Zambia.
Its natural habitats include dry savanna, moist savanna, tropical and subtropical dry shrubland, tropical and subtropical moist shrubland, tropical and subtropical dry lowland grassland, tropical or subtropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, shrub-dominated wetlands, intermittent freshwater lakes, swamps, salt water marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, urban areas, canals, and ditches.
