Amazonian Royal Flycatcher

The Amazonian Royal Flycatcher (Onychorhynchus coronatus) is a species of passerine bird found in forest and woodlands throughout most of the Amazon basin in northern Bolivia, eastern Peru , eastern Ecuador, eastern Colombia,Venezuela, the Guianas, and northern and western Brazil. Although it occurs in low densities and is hard to spot, it is a widespread and common species. It is considered to be of Least Concern by Bird Life International.

There are three subspecies: the Northern, Pacific, and Atlantic Royal Flycatcher. The combined group are known simply as the Royal Flycatchers.
