Rebbachisaurus

Rebbachisaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous Period (99 million years ago) that lived in what is now Africa. The discovery of this dinosaur, along with the Rayososaurus, a South American dinosaur nearly identical to Rebbachisaurus, supports theories that there was still a land bridge between Africa and South America during the Early Cretaceous, long after it was thought the two continents had been separated.

Rebbachisaurus was a 68 foot long herbivore with a small head, long graceful neck, and a whip-like tail. It is unlike most sauropods as it had a tall, ridged back. It was a quadrupedal dinosaur.
