Telmatosaurus

Telmatosaurus, meaning “marsh lizard,” is a genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period found in what is now Romania. The type species, T. transylvanicus, was described in 1899 by
Franz Nopcsa von Felső-Szilvás. He initially described it as Limnosaurus, which has a similar meaning to Telmatosaurus. However, that name had already been taken, and the genus was renamed in 1903.

Telmatosaurus was a fairly small hadrosaur, about 16 feet long. It was considered a very primitive hadrosaurid.
