German Spaniel

The German Spaniel, also called the Deutscher Wachtelhund or the German Quail Dog is a medium-sized German gundog. The breed is used to track and retrieve upland game and blood trail large game; it also loves to work in the water.

The German Spaniel a thick wavy coat which cascades over its strong system of muscles and bones. Its solid build enables it to retrieve heavy game. The German Spaniel stands from 18 to 22 inches tall and weighs 44 to 66 pounds. It is a rectangular-shaped breed with long ears and a well-feathered chest, tail, and legs.

The breed is very aggressive when it comes to completing a task or retrieving game. It also is intelligent and friendly and can make an excellent pet.
