Yellowtail Amberjack (Great Amberjack)

The Yellowtail Amberjack or Great Amberjack (Seriola lalandi), is a large fish found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is divided into three subspecies. The California Yellowtail, The Southern Yellowtail, and the Asian Yellowtail. The Southern Yellowtail is the largest weighing at most 114 pounds. The Asian Yellowtail is the smallest and weighs an average of 61 pounds.
