Lesser Green Emperor, Anax guttatus

The lesser green emperor (Anax guttatus), also known as the pale-spotted emperor, is a species of dragonfly that is native to Asia and Northern Australia. Its range includes China, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, but it can also be found in Africa. It prefers to reside in lakes and ponds with abundant aquatic vegetation. It is not known to have any major threats and it occurs in a large range. The lesser green emperor appears on the IUCN Red List with a conservation status of “least Concern.â€
