Powder Sprite, Pseudagrion spernatum

The powder sprite (Pseudagrion spernatum), also known as the powdered sprite, is a species of damselfly that can be found in Africa. Its range includes Angola, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, and Tanzania, among other areas. It prefers to reside in montane habitats near streams and rivers.

The total population number of the powder sprite is unknown and it is threatened by habitat loss due to agricultural purposes, water drainage, and water pollution. No conservation efforts have been suggested for this species other than research and monitoring. The powder sprite appears on the IUCN Red List with a conservation status of “Least Concern.”
