Bubblegum, invented by Walter Diemer in 1928, is a chewing gum designed to be blown out of the mouth as a bubble. The gum comes in many different colors and flavors.
As an employee of Fleer Chewing Gum Company Walter would play around with gum recipes in his free time and invented a gum that was less sticky and stretched more easily. He sold the gum as Dubble Bubble in 1928 in the color of pink due to that being the only color of dye on hand at the time.
Susan Montgomery holds the record for biggest bubble, 23-inches, which she blew in 1996.
