Indian Journal of Dermatology
The Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology (IJDVL) is a peer-reviewed open-access medical journal published bimonthly on behalf of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists. It was established in 1940 and the current editor-in-chief is D.M. Thappa (as of May 2012).
The journal reaches more than 6,000 members of the IADVL as well as nearly 200 medical colleges in India. The journal focuses on articles on clinical and experimental dermatology, cutaneous biology, dermatological therapeutics, cosmetic dermatology, dermatopathology, dermatosurgery, pediatric dermatology, photodermatology, and HIV medicine.
The purpose of the journal is to facilitate scientific dialogue amongst its members through the medium of publication of case reports, studies or letters as well as to deliver continuing medical education to its members and postgraduate students through reviews and other articles.
