Journal of the Association for Computing Machinery

The Journal of the Association for Computing Machinery (JACM) is the official journal of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). It was established in 1954 and is published bi monthly by the ACM. As of May 2012, the editor-in-chief is Victor Vianu (University of California, San Diego).

It is peer-reviewed and covers computer science and science in general, especially theoretical aspects. The scope of the journal is based on areas covered by the Editorial Board, and these areas are constantly changing.

This is the list of current (May 2012) areas covered in JACM: Algorithms and Data Structures, Analysis of Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Complexity Theory, Computational Biology, Computational Geometry, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision, Computer-Aided Verification, Cryptography and Security, Database Systems and Theory, Decisions, Uncertainty, and Computation, Distributed Computing, Graph Algorithms and Geometric Computing, Logic and Computation, Machine Learning and Computational Learning Theory, Networking, Operations Research, Game Theory and Economics, Parallel Computing and Architecture, Programming Languages, Quantum Computing, Randomized Algorithms and Probabilistic Analysis of Algorithms, Scientific Computing and High Performance Computing, Software Engineering, and Web Systems and Algorithms.
