Annals of Medicine

Annals of Medicine is a peer-reviewed medical journal published 8 times per year by Informa on behalf of The Finnish Medical Society Duodecim. As of May 2012, the editor-in-chief is Timo Partonen.

The journal publishes research articles and reviews on a wide range of medical subjects, with a particular focus on internal medicine. The journal covers advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis of diseases and in how medicine and molecular genetics can be applied in daily clinical practice.

The series on Trends in Clinical Practice and Trends in Molecular Medicine are published regularly. Special Sections feature commissioned, peer-reviewed papers on different aspects of a theme, which include tumorigenesis, obesity, angiogenesis and depression. A new series on the very latest advances in molecular medicine include molecular cardiology and molecular endocrinology.

Annals of Medicine is abstracted and indexed in the following databases: Index Medicus, EMBASE, Biological Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts, Current Awareness in Biological Sciences, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, Current Contents/Life Sciences, Psychological Abstracts, Research Alert, and the Science Citation Index.
