Winter Weather Outlook For November-February For Newark NJ

November 2012: A mild start to the month is in store, followed by a rapid cool down and some frost and freeze warnings. The forecasted average temps for the month will be around 50-60F, with the potential of seeing 3-4 days warmer and 8-10 days colder. The precipitation for the month will be around 1inch of rainfall along with the potential for a Trace to 1in of snowfall.

December 2012. A rapid cool down is in store for the month with temps falling on average to around 30-40F, with the potential of seeing 1-2 days a touch warmer, while there could be 3-5days that its even colder. Precipitation for the month will include a trace to 1in of rainfall, while the month will also see heavy snowfall totaling 8-10inches.

January 2013: Another cold month in store as temps will fall to an average of 20-30F with the potential to see 6-8 days above that average and also 2-4 days below the average. The month will offer a trace to 1in of rainfall. The winter weather impacts will include the potential of seeing 6-8in of snowfall during the month.

February 2013: A slow warming trend will take place for the month as temps will average around 30-40F with the potential of seeing 6-8 days even warmer along with 2-4 days being slightly cooler. The month will also have an increase in rainfall with the totals ranging from 2-3in. The winter outlook for the month will provide the area with the chance of seeing 6-8in of snow during the month also. The majority of the snowfall could come in one snow event.
