The Common Star Lily (Zigadenus fremontii) also known as Fremont's Deathcamas or Star Zigadene, is a species of wildflower found on grassy or woody slopes, or rocky outcrops, in many low-lying regions of California, southern Oregon, and northern Baja California.

This species grows from a spherical bulb, which has a diameter of 0.75 to 1.33 inches. The leaves can reach up to 40 inches in length, but are usually only 20 inches long. The leaves grow form the base of plant. The flowers, which are seen from March to June, grow in clusters. The flower has six petals, arranged symmetrically, which gives rise to the name star lily. Each flower is up to 1.6 inches across.
