The Common Midwife Toad (Alytes obstetricans), also known as the Sapo Partero Comun, is a species of frog in the family Discoglossidae. It is found in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, subtropical or tropical dry forests, temperate shrubland, rivers, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, temperate desert, arable land, pastureland, and urban areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.
