Arizonasaurus was a genus of dinosaur from the Mesozoic Era of the Middle Triassic Period about 240 million years ago. It was first found in the Moenkopi Formation of northern Arizona. In 2002, a nearly complete skeleton was discovered by Sterling Nesbitt.
The type species, A. babbitti, was named by Samuel Paul in 1947. One characteristic of Arizonasaurus was that it had a large sail on its back formed by elongated spines of the vertebrae.
