The Sapsali is a Korean breed of dog which was traditionally thought to chase away spirits and ghosts. Its name, translated, means just that. The work of the breed is said to be spiritual rather than physical.

The breed is medium sized and resembles various herding-type breeds. It is slightly longer than it is tall. The coat of the breed covers its eyes, as it is long and plentiful. It can be various shades of black, brown, gray, red, orange, or yellow.

The breed is a gentle, loyal breed; it is generally loving toward its owner as well as protective. It can be slightly aggressive toward strangers.
