HP Compaq TC1100

The Hp Compaq TC1100 is a tablet PC manufactured by Hewlett-Packard (HP) and the successor to the TC1000. This unit was discontinued at the end of 2005, and replaced by the TX1100US and TX1200US.

The display of the TC1100 is a 10.4-inch LCD touchscreen. It has a detachable keyboard which can also be used like a lap top or it can be folded over and rested against the back of the tablet.

It came with three different CPUs, a 1GHz, 1.1 Ghz, and a 1.2 Ghz. The 1.2 Ghz model had 2 MB L2 cache, a 60 GB hard drive, 512 MB Ram expandable to 2 GB, 54g Wi-Fi, wireless Bluetooth, SD card slot and uses Window XP operating system.

There are six customizable controls on the TC1100: three physical buttons on the side of the unit and three areas where the stylus is used. There is also a dial located with the physical buttons which can be used for zooming and scrolling. On the back of the tablet there are retractable feet that allow for cooling when the tablet is lying flat or when extended can be used for setting the unit on an angle.
