Word of the Day
- A belt or girdle made of wampum by the Indians of the North Atlantic region, the purple and white beads being generally so arranged as to form designs.
These belts were exhibited at times when important tribal events took place and thus became mnemonic records of the events.
Quote of the DayTraditional scientific method has always been at the very best, 20-20 hindsight. It's good for seeing where you've been. It's good for testing the truth of what you think you know, but it can't tell you where you ought to go.
- Robert M. Pirsig (b. 1928), U.S. author.
