This computer reconstructed image was processed at the Kitt Peak National Observatory from an original black-and-white plate taken in 1910 at Lowell Observatory (Flagstaff, Arizona). The false colors indicate varying levels of brightness in the image. A type I ion tail is visible above a type II dust tail. Posted on: 28 Feb, 2005
