Astronauts Walter M. Schirra Jr. (shaking hands) and Thomas P. Stafford received an official welcome as they arrive aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Wasp following their 25 hour 52 minute mission in space. The three Navy officers greeting the astronauts are (left to right) Vice Admiral Charles E.
