SUMER image in S VI at 933 Å on 1996 May 12. The Sun observed by SUMER in the emission line of S VI at 933 A, formed in the transition region at about 200,000 K. The picture was put together from 9256 raster images with an exposure time of 3 s each, collected in eight alternating horizontal scans across the Sun. Posted on: 31 Mar, 2003
