The Spencer Gulf in Australia

The Spencer Gulf is featured in this image captured by the MODIS on the Aqua satellite on February 14, 2008. The southern coast of Australia has two large gulfs - the western (and larger) one is the Spencer Gulf. It is 322 km (200 mi) long and 129 km (80 mi) wide at its mouth.
The Spencer Gulf is separated from the eastern Gulf of St. Vincent by the Yorke Peninsula. On the western shore of the Gulf of St. Vincent is the large city of Adelaide.
