The MODIS on the Aqua satellite captured this image of Tropical Cyclone Ophelia on March 3, 2008. As of this date, the Category 2 cyclone was just off the coast of Western Australia, and.
Fortunately, Ophelia is not expected to pose a major threat to towns on the coast. The storm seems to be moving along the coastline; the Australian Bureau of Meteorology expects that the cyclone will weaken and head out to sea by March 5th or 6th.
