Earth from Space: Western Europe

A virtually cloudless image of Western Europe captured by Envisat on 28 September 2008. In addition to the countries of Andorra, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland, three mountain ranges can be seen in the image – the Pyrenees (visible bottom centre), Massif Central (visible northeast of Pyrenees) and Alps (visible bottom right).
