Astronaut Thomas D. Jones, payload commander, is pictured on the Space Shuttle Endeavour's flight deck with a video camera and a Linhof large format still camera (left frame). Having flown in space just six months earlier, Jones was getting his second look at his home planet from Earth-orbit. In honor of the ongoing Mission To Planet Earth Project, Jones and his five NASA astronaut colleagues were kept quite busy at this station documenting hundreds of points on Earth. Experiments in Endeavour's cargo bay were recording data about Earth as well, in support of the Space Radar Laboratory (SRL-2) mission.
