This mosaic of MERIS (MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) images shows the country of Portugal (highlighted in dark green) and the rest of the Iberian Peninsula. Portugal is bordered by Spain to the north and east and by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south. Also visible in the lower portion of the image are the Strait of Gibraltar and the country of Morocco.
