This Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASAR) multitemporal color composite image shows an area of 100 Km swath width over the city capital of Ottawa , Canada (bright area). It is located on the Ottawa River which forms the Quebec (north of the river)- Ontario (south) provincial border. Visible are Ottawa's large parks and wide streets.
The image is made of two ASAR images acquired on different dates and a "Principal Component 1" image extracted from the two acquired images, and assigning a color ( RGB ) to each image ( Red : 26 March 2003, Green : Principal Component 1, Blue : 30 April 2003).
