This ASAR wide-swath multitemporal color composite image is centered over the northern river-plains region of India. The image shows a topography of the region that is predominately flat and comprises the major part of the vast plains area watered by the Yamuna, Ganges, and Brahmaputra rivers.

The city of New Dehli is visible (large bright area top left) and located between the Aravalli Hills to the southwest and the Yamuna river on whose western banks it is situated. To the southeast of the city are the fertile plains of Uttar Pradesh, where foodgrains, sugar cane, and oilseeds are cultivated.
