This MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer image shows an area over the Andaman Sea and Myanmar. The country is bordered by Laos and Thailand on the east of the image and the Andaman Sea to the south. The capital of Myanmar, Yangon (Rangoon) can be seen in the center left part of the image in grey tones. Near the capital is the mouth of the Irrawaddy River. This river, flows south through central Myanmar and into the Andaman.
