Malta

This ASAR image shows an area of 100 Km swath width centered over the islands of Gozo, Comino and Malta located in the Mediterranean sea. On the largest island (Malta) the city of Valletta (large bright area) and the airport (the black L-shape figure south of Valletta) can be well distinguished. The different black patterns surrounding the island are due sea currents.
