This MERIS (MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) image shows the country of Lesotho. It is one of only three countries to be completely bordered by one country, in this case South Africa (the other two countries being San Marino and Vatican City). The kingdom of Lesotho is mainly mountainous (Drakensberg Mountains), as seen in the image. The capital and largest city Maseru can be seen just west of the mountainous area. On the coast in South Africa we can see the city of Durban, and to the west is the city of Bloemfontein.
