This image is centered over the Irrawaddy Delta in Myanmar. Yangon (Rangoon) the state's capital lies just under the cloud in the center of the image. The fertile plains around the Irrawady River cover a large proportion of the country and are the principal source of agriculture, heavily important for the economy. The center of the country is separated from the coast and the Bay of Bengal by a forested mountain range named Arakan Yoma. Towards the northwest of the image lie the Cheduba and Ramree islands.
