Gulf of Gaeta, Italy. The image has been acquired at Fucino on 2 May 1995, 10 days after the satellite launch (21 April) and processed by ESA/ESRIN.

The image covers an area located South-East of Rome and Notyh-west of Naples. Gaeta is situated on a promontory at the tip of the peninsula just north of the curving bay at middle of the image. On the right of the image is visible mount Roccamonfina, an old, inactive volcano, and at the top of the image the Mt. Cassino, famous for the abbey, is also visible.
