Southern Florida and Cuba are displayed in this Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) image. On the northern coast of Cuba we can observe the city of Havana, and on the eastern coast of Florida is Miami.

The Florida Keys can be clearly seen stretching eastwards, the greener shades in Florida Bay represent shallower seas and increased sedimentation in the area.

Similarly in the lagoon area between the southern coast of Cuba and the Archipelago de los Canarreos. The Cay Sal Bank in the Straits of Florida to the east of the image, showing up as a lighter blue shows this same effect to a lesser extent.
