Central Italy

January 19, 2006
Central Italy in its last winter days of 2004 is the main subject on this image. Down the center of the image the Apennines still covered in snow are visible. The image stretches from the Po Valley (upper left on the image) and Lake Garda, to Naples, Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast (lower right on the image). Visible in the image are numerous Italian images, such as Parma, Bologne, Florence and Rome. North of Rome we can also see the crater lake of Lake Bracciano.
