The River Danube splits Budapest, the Hugarian capital into, Buda (to the west) and Pest (to the east). The Hungarian Parliament building can be seen on the flanks of the Danube on the Pest side between the first and second bridges below the island. On the Buda side of the river we can see the Castle Hill with the Royal Palace sitting atop.
