This wide-swath radar multi composite image centered over Brittanny, the long arm of France that extends into the Atlantic Ocean and Lower Normandy. The peninsula of Brittany is bordered by the English Channel on the north and the Bay of Biscay on the south. The major cities: Rennes (center), Angers and Nantes situated on the Loire River (bottom image) are visible as large bright areas. To the left of Lower Normandy are the British islands of Jersey and Guernseym, part of the Channel Islands.

The image is made of three ASAR images acquired on different dates and assigning a color ( RGB ) to each date ( Red : 5 October 2003, Green : 30 December 2003, Blue : 22 February 2004).
