In the center of the image is the island of Sicily - Sicily is an autonomous region of Italy and the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. North and east of Sicily is southern Italy, which forms the shape of a boot. South of Sicily is the tiny island of Malta. In the southwest part of the image is the African country of Tunisia. North of Tunisia is part of the Island of Sardinia.
