Atlas Mountains

These are the Anti-Atlas Mountains, part of the Atlas Mountain range in southern Morocco, Africa. The region contains some of the world’s largest and most diverse mineral resources, most of which are still untouched. This image was acquired by Landsat 7’s Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) sensor on June 22, 2001.
