Dust storm in the Sahara Desert

This MODIS image, acquired by the Terra satellite on May 10, 2006, shows a dust storm in the Sahara Desert in Africa. This dust storm spans several countries - the black lines denote country borders. The top left of the image shows a small piece of Algeria, and the border Algeria and Niger. At this border are the Ahaggar Mountains. East of Niger is Chad, and north east of Chad, at the top right corner of the image, is Libya.
