Ultraviolet Light Inspection

In the clean room of Kennedy's Payload Hazardous Processing Facility, a technician from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center uses black light inspection for a thorough cleaning of the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph, or COS.

The COS will be installed on the Hubble Space Telescope and will be the most sensitive ultraviolet spectrograph ever flown on Hubble to probe the "cosmic web."
