A molecule designed by chemist William Rees to use as a chemical precursor for the doping process. This consists of adding small quantities of various elements into a material to change its properties (in this case its conductivity). Scientists must exercise rigorous control of doping element placement in optoelectronic materials to improve performance of electronic devices. (Year of image: 2000)
