President Bush Visits Tuskegee (Image 1) U.S. President George W. Bush observes Tuskegee University graduate student Nydeia Wright's nano-particle demonstration. Wright is fabricating nylon fiber infused with carbon nanotubes. Wright received a fellowship through the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship Program (IGERT), a National Science Foundation (NSF) program. Her research is being supported by grants from NSF's Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST) and Research Internships in Science of the Environment (RISE) programs. She will be pursuing a master's degree in chemistry and join the Ph.D. program in materials science and engineering at Tuskegee in the fall of 2006.
