INGEOS Program (Image 1) Participants from the University of North Dakota's INGEOS program take part in a field trip exercise. Participants explored the Pierre Shale and its members during a trip to the Rendezvous region of North Dakota. The INGEOS (Indians in to the Geological Sciences) program is a collaborative between the White Earth Tribal and Community College in Mahnomen, Minn., and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, N.D. The program was specifically designed to bring Indian students up to and above the baccalaureate and masters level in the geosciences, and to prepare them competitively for successful geosciences careers.
