Buckyballs in Space

NASAs Spitzer Space Telescope has detected buckyballs - intriguing, miniature-soccer-ball-shaped molecules - in interstellar space for the first time. With these new results, the buckyball claims the record for the largest molecule ever discovered floating between the stars.
