Payload specialist James A. (Jim) Pawelczyk adjusts the sensors on fellow STS-90 crew member Dafydd R. (Dave) Williams while the mission specialist is in the Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP) device during Neurolab simulations at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The two will join four NASA astronauts and a second payload sector for 16 days aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in support of the Neurolab mission early next year.
