Payload specialist James A. (Jim) Pawelczyk monitors fellow crew member David R. (Dave) Williams, mission specialist, in Neurolab's Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP) device during a training session at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Williams represents the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). On Neurolab, crew members will carry out a comprehensive set of tests designed to investigate every aspect of autonomic circulatory control, with the overall goal of understanding how it has changed during space flight.
