Using a Sky-genie device, payload specialist Jay C. Buckey, Jr. prepares to lower himself to "safety" during emergency egress training at the Shuttle Mockup and Integration Laboratory (SMIL) at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Buckey and another payload specialist from the private sector will join five NASA astronauts for the 16-day Neurolab mission early next year.
