This Electronic Still Camera (ESC) image, taken from a northeasterly direction, shows Mt. Fuji on the main home island of Honshu, Japan. The snow-capped extinct volcano lies just a few miles south of Tokyo. The bay to the left of Mt. Fuji is Suruga Wan. Lake Yamanaka Ko is clearly visible to the bottom right.
